Danseforestilling
Dans blir det mer av i år. Festivalens åpning er sammensatt av flere typer dans, og i år utvider vi festivalen med hele to dager for å få plass til mer dans og musikk. Vi har mange dansevisinger på kino før filmstart og i år et eget danseprogram på festivalavslutningen den 10. september. Her blir det et eget danseshow i Dansens Hus Nasjonale scene.Dansere fra både workshop-opplæringen og inviterte dansere lager et program for avslutningen av festivalen i år.
Ashwini Kalsekar and Kirti Kala Mandir, India
Ashwini Kalsekar and Kirti Kala Mandir will be performing in Norway for the first time,at the opening of the Bollywood festival. They will also have dance workshops during the festival.
Ashwini Kalsekar choreograph and dancer from UK is leading the group.
She is a renowned Kathak dancer and very famous choreographer with a master's degree in Kathak. She is celebrated for her expressions, grace and footwork. It was her talent that made indian government appoint her as a young cultural ambassador to Europe in 1998.
Ashwini er en berømt Kathak danserinne og koreograf med mastergrad i Kathak.
Hun ble utpekt av den indiske staten som ung kulturell ambassadør i Europa, og er leder av Kirti Kala Mandir, et institutt for utøvende kunst i London. Ashwini har nyskapende koreografi med variasjonsbredde fra moderne tema som global oppvarming til det klassiske Ramayana.
Aasma Dance Troup, New Delhi India
The Aasma dance troupe has been performing not only in India but also in countries outside India. This year they have Sonia and Diwakar who were one of the contestants of India's Got Talent Khoj 2. They were declared the second runner-up, it happened right after the Bollywood festival 2010. They will perform their best, and as one has not seen before.
Aasma dansegruppen har vært på mange turneer, ikke bare i India men også i utlandet. I år har de også med Sonia og Diwakar som var deltagere på India´s Got Talent, og kom på tredje plass. Dette opplevde de rett etter Bollywood festivalen i 2010.

Dansere fra Kalyani har vært en del av vår festival siden 2003. Kalyani lager nye danser hvert år for festivalåpningen, og vi er glade for det gode samarbeidet med gruppen.
