Recently at IIFA 2008 in Bangkok BollywoodFest director Nasrullah Qureshi was there to invite some who's and who of the Indian film industry. The meeting was quite fruitful as he discussed not only about the festival but also invited the industry to Scandinavia as a forthcoming destination to shoot the films in future. He invited the big B Mr. Amitabh Bachchan the brand ambassador of IIFA to consider Norway as futuristic destination for IIFA.

Couple of among some showed interest in coming as guest or for some joint ventures were Fardeen Khan, Manoj Bajpai, Sanjay Gupta, Dia Mirza, and David Dhawan.
Harman Baweja the star of future performing for the first time live on stage with his co star Priyanka Chopra from film Love Story 2050 was also been invited for coming to Norway. He has already shot for one of his forthcoming film in Norway. We are not only promoting the BollywoodFest but also Norway as shooting venue for the Indian film industry. It's always pleasure to meet friends like Mr. Vikas Mohan, Mr. Shyam Shroff and Mr. Ramesh Turani and others at IIFA.
It was great pleasure meeting living legends like Mr. Yash Chopra and Ramesh Sippy.

BollywoodFest Norway congratulates Mr. Madhur Bhandarkar for scoring a HAT-TRICK OF NATIONAL AWARDS, the last one for the film Traffic Signal. He has also been compared to Satyajit Ray lately. We are proud to presents all his award winning films in the festival. Bollywood Fest has invited Mr. Madhur Bhandarkar to honour him with another award from Norway Bollywood film festival for outstanding directing in India.

He dares to make real life drama on the silver screen. And he is taking Indian films to the international film audience. Many of his fans in Norway will be happy to know that he will be attending the BollywoodFest in August 2008.

This year Bollywood films are getting attention from Cannes film festival. Number of film companies like Eros have been a part of it but this year Shemaroo is coming in big way to promote themselves in over sees market. Mr. Kalapi is very glad as there film Guide is only classic film from India which is part of classic section and Mr. Dev Anand would be present there in Cannes as he was the main lead in the film. Shemaroo others film are Ghatothkach, Anuranan and Mumbai Salsa.

In contrast to this the film Guide and Anuranan would be also screened at BollywoodFest in Norway. BollywoodFest has joined hands with Shemaroo and would be promoting them in a big way by having there films shown during the festival.
